Is It Worth Keeping? Choosing Digital Tools in the Language Classroom
Presented by Viktoria Batista (LCTL, Hungarian)
Description:
Emergency remote teaching in 2020 pushed language instructors into rapid experimentation with digital tools, and the flood of new options, now including AI, has not slowed since. This presentation proposes practical criteria for evaluating tools and provides examples that continue to work well. What survives is not necessarily a particular platform but a flexible, reusable practice where the instructor designs the activity first and then chooses the platform accordingly. The presentation builds upon experience with a less commonly taught language but is applicable to any other one.
Location: The Robert Henderson Language Media Center @ G17 Cathedral of Learning
